The Maids
Jean Genet’s The Maids is a provocative psychological thriller where fantasy, power, and obsession collide. Inspired by the infamous 1933 Papin sisters murder case, the play follows Solange and Claire, two maids trapped in a ritual of role-play, resentment, and violent desire as they act out fantasies of destroying their wealthy mistress. But as their private game spirals out of control, the boundary between performance and reality begins to dissolve, leading the sisters toward a chilling and irreversible end.
